August 28: I hope everyone had a good day returning to school. Read chapters 1 and 2, and review vocabulary. You will find the problems for this week below; I will check for completion on Tuesday, prior to the quiz on chapters 1, 2, which we will finish this week.
Chapter 1: 2, 4, 14, pg. 17 challenge, 43, 61, 70, 74, 84, 85, 91; exercise on page 28: 98, due next Wednesday; Chapter 2: 8, pg. 40 challenge #3, 18, 24, 29, pg. 49: "rwp" questions, 40, 51, 53, 56. Be prepared for vocabulary quiz Friday for both chapters 1 and 2.
Don't forget general paperwork items, for grade, by this Friday.

Sept 05: please work at finishing 1-d kinematics packet, as well as marathon runner graphs and motion concept map for tomorrow. If you need resources, I think Crash Course Physics is the best! Another awesome source is the Physics Hypertextbook (https://physics.info/motion/)
September 09, 2018: just a short note. Due to the likelihood of our losing Thursday and Friday this coming week, I will plan on a quiz Wednesday, at the latest, and we will then continue the following week. More as we get there.
September 10: I have work for you to do. I expect that we will be experiencing a shortened week...just don't know how short yet. Since we will also be "chrome-book-less," this will mean that we will be "old school" for a time. Hang in there...we got this!

October 16: unsubtle reminder: as posted on the white board...if you have something completed, turn it in! Only you can prevent loss of points by late work!
October 22: happy Monday! Today is the official end of the first third of the semester...and what a ride with two hurricanes!
We will continue with forces and free body diagrams, after a short re-quiz today, and a force-table lab Tuesday. The work for chapters 5 and 6 will be listed shortly, and be due next Wednesday, Oct 31, so that you will be free of physics homework that evening. Handouts will also be on the way.
chapter 5: 71, 75, 77, 88, 93, 94, 98, 100, 104; chapter 6: 42, 51, 52, 58, 67, 80, 86

November 26: here are the instructions for the problem packet handed out in class. You will do three problems from each section; first, the one that corresponds to your birth month; second, add 9 to that number, giving you the second problem (wrap on the list as needed, if number is higher than the number of problems present); third, add 4 more, repeat pattern. This will amount to 24 problems, rather than the whole packet of 136. As a caveat, do as many as you feel you need over the 24...see me if you feel a particular topic needs more discussion.
Packet is due Monday, December 3, prior to 8am.

December 06: work at finishing up packet 7, by Monday. Have two sets of ppts for reading and highlighting by Tuesday for inspection. Snell's law problems and Wave problem sheet due no later than Monday, prior to lunch. Test on waves will be next Wednesday...be ready.
December 10: don't forget...waves packet is now overdue...get them in today! Snell's law problems and wave problems, too! Study guide development is today, as well as handing out next set of problems/packet. Think...test is Wednesday...study guide below.

December 14: update: finish the packets handed out today, as well as topic 8 packet by Wednesday, Dec. 19. At that time, you will receive the materials on magnetism. Please work on these over the break, so that we can have a handful of days for review. Magnetism materials will be due on January 4th...we will do some lab demonstrations on the 2nd-4th to enlarge your practical handle of these concepts.
